Super exciting news; back in May, Kate entered a competition Goldwell was holding called ColourZoom. Its a yearly creative colour competition open to all hairdressers that use Goldwell. It involves taking a willing models hair and interpreting their latest collection, capturing the look in a photo shoot and then submitting the entry back to Goldwell. After waiting to hear back for several weeks we can say the image has made it through to the Australian Finals!! Tomorrow (Monday 22nd July) Kate will be heading down to Melbourne with Walter Maurice, the photographer, for the lunchtime finalist announcement. The Australian ColourZoom winner will be flown to Vienna in September along with their model to re-create the look and compete for the global winners title! Check out the Instagram page for the story to unfold further

Luxury range is for stressed, dry or damaged hair. Its active ingredients work to repair damage, boost shine, improve manageability, seal in moisture and prevent breakage while smoothing and strengthening the hair cuticle. Phew, thats a whole lot. Hood

The Roosevelt

For those that do not know, The Roosevelt one of the local iconic cocktail bars! It is tucked up on Orwell Street, just off of Macleay. The Roosevelt originally opened in 1943, before it was closed by a Royal Commission finding the less than legal methods of circumventing the restrictive alcohol rules of the time. It was then re-opened in 2012 and kept much of its prohibition era charm with the lighting kept low and the decor kept classic. Their cocktail list is not the only extensive list with hundreds of speciality liquors (many of them adorn the walls). The Roosevelt is a real gem, it is the perfect place for cocktails or a weekday meal with many specials throughout the week.

Head over to their website to book yourself a table and check out their menus.
