November sees us well into spring and headed for summer! Much has happened over the last 3 months. Our November post will visit the past couple of months and look ahead to things coming our way, as usual we have a look at a gem in the hood.
Salon Life
Back in Julys blog post, Kate was about to head off to Melbourne for the Goldwell ColorZoom Australian finalists lunch. It was a great day of being amongst some of Goldwell‘s most creative Australians and hearing from some of the directing team at Goldwell AU. The competition was tight and she did not win Australian winner title. The winner was Pricilla Hume of Pump House Hair in Launceston. Global Zoom happened in early October with the all the winners of each entering country competing for the global title. The overall winner was IRAKLI SARDALISHVILI from Russia. In September, Mel joined at Dye! She is in salon on Thursday and Saturday currently and will add more days the busier she gets. She is a colour and extension specialist and a general all rounder. With over 15 years in the industry, she has extensive knowledge in all areas colour related. She is stocking Kevin Murphy. Pop by or give her a call on 0426 094 638 to get an appointment, prior bookings are essential.

Kate is back from holiday....temporarily! She was away for 2 weeks as she got married over the October long weekend and now has just 4 more weeks until she heads off on honeymoon. Her schedule is looking very busy in the run up, so if you think you’re in need or will need an appointment get yourself booked in! Her last day in salon is Wednesday 11th December and first day back in is Tuesday 7th January. There’s a couple of extra late nights that have been added to her diary in the run up to her break and they’re going fast! So, with there being few left, if you can’t get in when you want you are more than welcome to join the cancellations list or come in and see Mel. Mel’s hours for Christmas will be up on the website soon or feel free to contact her and see when she’s in. We hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas time!
The Hood
Et Al
Et Al is pretty much right next to the salon! This amazing restaurant has been in the hood for 3 years. Owners Daniel and Stephen combine their expertise and come together to create a restaurant that is casual, down to earth and fun. Dan and his team in the kitchen create the highest quality food, with Stephen and his team on the floor providing outstanding service and knowledge of the food and wine they bring. They can cater for large groups (best booked well in advance!), meaning its a great spot for celebrations. They have some awesome specials running currently such as lunch for $15 on Friday (sandwich and a tea or coffee) and Summer Afternoon Spritz ($12 spritz, happy hours and $10 plates). Delicious!!
Head over and check this awesome place out over the summer, they are open for lunch on Friday’s, brunch/lunch on Saturdays and Sunday’s and every evening between Wednesday and Sunday for dinner. Drop in for a meal or a drink and a plate and watch Llankelly Place’s hustle and bustle.
