DYE SALON BLOG-MARCH

Updated: Mar 18, 2019

Welcome to our (later than anticipated) latest post! Touching on the usual; shop and hood.

Heading into March sees Dye into the 6th month of being open. It has gone so quickly and we are also delighted to say that we will shortly be signing the next chapter of our lease and confirming we will be staying on for at least the next 2 years after we turn 1 in August.

Salon Stuff

Much is happening behind the scenes at Dye! After searching for another freelancer to join we were pipped at the post so are back on and searching for someone. We have been chatting to a few people and will hopefully have someone on board soon! Our Easter and Anzac day hours are in the book, appointments around these busy and limited open hours are already getting booked up! Jump online to see what we have left. March sees some fun stuff happening with Goldwell in shape of their yearly global competition. Its a fun hair competition open to all Goldwell salons, which centres around a hair look they create in house and everyone else then interprets. The shoot will be happening in April, keep your eyes peeled for more on this.

Keratin

March looks set to stay toasty! Save yourself from frizzy hair and read on....

We are giving away a free keratin product with your keratin service when you book and have your keratin done in March, use the code "SMOOTH". Book online https://apps.baxus.com/bookings/katemcquitty and pop the code in the notes section or give us a call and mention the promo when booking. We also have a special for March on all Evo, head in to see!

The Hood:Orwells

This month we are giving some love to our friends and neighbours at Orwells. Laurie and the team have been serving up amazing food and coffee for just over a year now. Serving up some of the best kombucha and whole food salads. This friendly bunch are open every day from 7am during the week and 8am on the weekend till late afternoon.

For March they are trialling evenings on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday where they'll be offering cakes and coffee till late and adding to this by means of share plates (to share with your friends or keep to yourself!), a selection of wines from some local boutique wineries, beers from Sydney brewery and will even make a gin or vodka with one of their house-made kombutchas (that go down as easy as water!). A perfect place to stop for a beverage and light bite and catch up with friends in vibrant Llankelly Place.

That wraps our post for this month, don't forget to mention our blog when booking your keratin for this month and make sure you pop into to Orwells to see Laurie and the crew and test out their new evening offerings. See you in store, Kate!
